Anyway I just spent the last two days in the heat prying the audio system out of the old 323 and transplanting it into the Escort, and today, right after I make the final connections and everything works great, and I'm SUPER proud of myself, it just stops working. The radio doesn't turn on and the dash lights stop turning on. They're on the same circuit, but the fuse looks fine and replacing it does nothing. I think I broke a wire in the process of jamming the radio into the console. Or my fuse box is suddenly bad. I don't know. I'm just upset and tired now.
Also, today the power supply (I suspect) died on my PC. I'm typing from my dad's computer right now. This is a serious drag.
I don't even know what shit classes I have to take in order to graduate. I'm sure as hell not learning anything here anymore.
I can't draw lately. I've all but given up on it. It's highly discouraging. Although with all my other projects screeching to a halt like this, there's not much else to do. There's people I owe commissions and I just can't do a damn thing
And I'm sick. I've had this sort of coughing thing for a week now. My whole family has it and I'm getting kind of tired of it. By now it's probably just my allergies riding in the wake of whatever it was I had.
I haven't been getting enough hours at work over the summer, and none of the places I applied at called me back, and I also haven't gotten any mural commissions, so I'm seriously broke. There's probably no way I can afford AX this year, and (have I mentioned this?) there's no artist's tables left at Anime Vegas so that's off the agenda too. After all, it's pretty much the only reason I attend. When you take away the road trip element, and the artist's alley (sorry, but Yaoi Press and Anime LA--whoever the hell they are--do not an artist's alley make) it becomes depressingly apparent how fucking dumb these things are. I'll probably only attend Saturday, to buy Pokemon pins and maybe see the masquerade if my friends are still entering. Everyone, remember to write on your feedback cards this year that you miss bagshotrow's table and that the artist's alley was too small. So small that it reminded you of your own inadequacies, and you will now require therapy to restore your self esteem. Threaten to sue.
Have I seriously not just gone out with friends since april? What the fuck. How can I be doing nothing and still need a night off?
Well, I'm nearly out of topics through which to channel my misery onto you, and I've got to be at work tomorrow morning, so I think it's time to retire. Catch you all real soon ya ok later

well just so you know, it was in an accident which crumpled the hood a bit and made the passenger side door un-openable. The engine seems to be fine but there is a creaking noise when you turn to the right--all the same, I've been driving it for about four months now since the accident and havent had a problem. It's got a radio and speakers but they've gotta be installed, and it's got no air conditioning, so for god's sakes, park in the shade. It's manual transmission and does get pretty good mileage.
If you wanna take a look at it I'm sure we could work something out. I think the junk guy would've given us about 200bux for it.

OTOH, your car sounds like the perfect car to learn in.
Also, to give you an idea of what I'm working with, I have a mid-80's T-Bird. A 5.0-L V8 is definitely not the best kind of engine to have with today's gas prices, & since the piston rings are so worn down they might as well not be there, there is major exhaust blow-by & the mileage drops still further. Also the rear-view mirror fell off several weeks ago; I had stuck it on with epoxy, but, engine vibrations & temperatures killed it. If I drive any faster than 58 mph or so, the car starts to shudder, particularly the right front corner. (If you wanna know why, please go read this.)

I think it's a 1991, maybe 1990. And yeah, as manual transmissions go, this one is pretty easy going.
I'll try and take some photos of this thing today.
