dream painting

Final assignment for my painting class, and probably the only one I really feel is significant enough to go in my gallery. The assignment was simply "something to do with dreams"... and so, after a bit of image searching, I settled on this scene, which is reminiscent (but sadly, not representative) of a scene which recurs often in my dreams.

The wrecked ship and breakwater were seperate images I found, and the rusty chain was from a picture I took just for this project. I had wanted some skeletal remains and debris floating offshore as if entangled with the chain, but it turns out that's hard to find pictures of.

It actually came out a good deal murkier than the reference pictures, and the ship came out kind of ghosty, but I like it.
