so, this arose during a chatroom discussion about Warner Bros. effeminization (and subsequent sexualization) of Tweety Bird in the absence of a marketable female character. After all, they don't have a whole warehouse of stockpiled princesses like Disney does, and after Lola Bunny flopped, WB must have been pretty desperate.

There's a lesson here for the next generation of animators, you know; make sure you've got a chick in your repertoire someplace, or you'll end up neutering Goofy just to sell backpacks to teenage girls. And no one wants that.



(I would SO market this, but I can hear the cease and desist orders coming in already. Also, it kind of makes me want to cut my hands off. Maybe the final design will be a little less horrifying.)
