Maybe it's just the more 'seeing stuff that ain't there' side of my brain, but it totally looks like a SPACESHIP BLASTING OFF INTO HYPER-WARP DRIVE NYEEEEOORRRRMMMMM!!!!!! :o
:iconsudrien:
Has the look of .. um ... 'inspired' to me ,,, since ther is litte chance of rain with the original ...

The structure is based on Kerath's Arch, if that's what you mean :3 The lyric ("in the city and the rain is falling down") is from Burn You Up, Burn You Down, the song that plays on Zandi's radio in Uru and during the end credits. I've always kind of associated that lyric with the waterfalls behind the great zero which poured down from the surface. Not rain... but pretty close. :d There were gonna be some of those waterfalls in this picture, but in the end the piece just didnt need them; I put in a bunch of crazy ghost-lights instead. I think it's better this way.

what's interesting is, some of the people who looked at this (without knowing the title) didn't see light buildings against a dark sky--they saw a light sky with a huge black evil spaceship thing in the distance. I almost prefer that interpretation...

Reminds me of 1960s sci-fi book covers. This rules. :+fav:

Very crazylycool! I can totally see it as one of those camera angles where water just falls and sits on the camera and then absorbs the colour from the lights around it ^_^'
